When Thief's Strike Lawn Mowing Contractors

Date: 7 Aug 2024

When a fellow Lawn Mowing franchisee from competitor brand Crewcut had their trailer and equipment stolen in Hamilton the founder of Lawn Rite wasn’t going to let the thief get away with taking the victims entire business.

Troy Hillard, Lawn Rite’s founder and franchisor reached out to the victims and lent them a spare trailer and equipment to keep them working while Troy search online market places for the stolen property. It wasn’t long until Troy found the stolen trailer and started a dialog pretending to be an interested buyer for the trailer.

A few days later Troy confronted the thieves at a commercial property in Hamilton CBD and demanded the trailer. During the altercation the police was called and upon arrival two offenders were arrested and the commercial property was searched were other stolen items were found.
